The CF80MAx Counterflow Cellular drift eliminator is specifically engineered for high-efficiency drift removal in counterflow cooling towers, evaporative cooling units, turbine intake hoods, and scrubber systems.
Unlike generic drift eliminators that serve both crossflow and counterflow applications, the CF80MAx is optimized for counterflow systems, offering significantly lower pressure drop. Independently tested under CTI Standard 140, CF80MAx demonstrates industry-leading drift loss performance, achieving levels as low as 0.0004% without requiring double-layer configurations.
Key Performance Features
With a high surface area cell design (1.50" or 38 mm), the CF80MAx ensures maximum drift removal at minimal airflow resistance. Its unique fully-nesting modular structure eliminates dead zones between packs, turning all areas into active drift elimination zones. This seamless fit helps prevent bypass and improves overall removal efficiency.
Using patented MA (Mechanical Assembly) technology, the CF80MAx modules are assembled without glue, making them environmentally friendly and field-installable. The robust construction supports spans up to 6 ft (1.8 m), minimizing support beam requirements and enhancing air passage.
Modules can be easily field-cut to conform tightly around columns or other obstacles while maintaining full structural integrity, offering flexibility in both new installations and retrofit upgrades.
